Black Belt Leadership Meeting 🥋

  • McMurray’s Family Taekwondo (map)

As a follow-up to our meeting in January, we are going to briefly touch base on how the current goals are coming along. After that, the aim of this meeting is :

1) Briefly - how are the current goals coming along? Were there any changes? Are there any teams that have since developed, like a conditioning/sparring team, tournament team, or demo team?

2) Any new leadership positions/jobs? Must come to the meeting with a current job description to get it approved.

3) Special event planning. We will not have time to brainstorm each event for more than two minutes. For that reason, this is more of a quick checklist to either plan to do an event or not this year. If someone already has a well thought out plan, then we can go into more details to hear it for approval or minor changes. Note that this is not the time to start thinking or developing a plan, rather, this is a time to elevator-pitch your plan to the school if you already have one.
Saint Patrick’s Day
Mother’s Day,
Father’s Day,
start of summer event?,
beach day,
another scrimmage with Master Rutland?,
other events for the public?,
ways to get more new students?,
break-a-thon day?,
seminar days (nunchaku, bo staff, escrima, other?),
volunteering as a TKD family?,
future demos?
3) We have some Mondays on un-themed weeks which could serve as a possibility for a fun day. If anyone already has a well-thought out plan, they can do an elevator pitch to propose it getting approved. Think of your pitch like a sale rather than a brainstorm. After hearing the pitches (if any), we can move on to a little brainstorming for these days: Mon-Mar-9, Mon-Apr-13, and Mon-Jun-1
4) Plan the next meeting and mark the calendar
